Belle at the Piano
You will notice that my wife Belle is the focus of many of my paintings. She is and always will be my muse. This painting also serves as the cover to my art and poetry book, The Spirited Woman. This picture displays Belle's whimsical sense of fashion. She picked out her own wardrobe for the painting and, yes, this outfit just happened to already be in her closet.
Flirtation in Little Italy
This acrylic painting won second place in the San Diego County Fair in 2015. You will see Belle and myself flirting in the background. Our friends and fellow Tango dancers Valerie and Fabio are seated in front of us. This location is in the Little Italy section of downtown San Diego. The name of the restaurant was changed for the painting. The actual restaurant I used is named Davanti and has excellent Italian food.

Hide and Seek
This is one of my favorite paintings because it is a reflection of the joys of childhood. It depicts Belle and me, as well as my two brothers, Paul and Jeff, and Belle's sister and brother-in-law Mickey, all playing hide and seek. Even though we are all adults, the painting represents us as children engaged in carefree play.

This acrylic painting shows one of my favorite locations in Coronado, kitty-corner to the Hotel Del Coronado. I enjoyed the process and the location so much that I did a variation of it that you will also see on this page. In this painting, Belle can be seen walking along in the background.

Two Children Fly a Kite
This painting shows two children flying a kite. Belle, as usual, is featured in this painting, and I painted myself as a child running behind her to release the kite into the air. The background of the image is typical East County San Diego landscape. The green grass is clearly artist's conception. You will definitely not find that much green grass outside of a golf course in East County, San Diego.

I already showed one of my hide and seek paintings earlier. This one was actually the first, and inspired me to do the second one. This field is located near the clinic where I practice. I looked up from the parking lot and saw the tree silhouetted in the twilight and immediately saw the scene of children playing hide and seek in my mind.

Belle in the Rose Garden
Belle in the Rose Garden features, you may have guessed, my wife Belle. This is the same house that you saw in the first Hide and Seek painting. I loved the location so much that I wanted to use it a second time.

The Alcazar Garden is located in San Diego's Balboa park. This was my first acrylic painting and also my first painting after an 11 year hiatus from art. I was inspired to do this painting when I looked up and saw Belle and her mother walking down the path in the garden.

My second painting of Coronado features the same scene from Coronado Shade with the stores changed up and an outdoor cafe added. Belle is having a conversation with her friend Thelest.

Feeding Ducks at Seaport Village
Seaport Village is a charming setting in downtown San Diego. This acrylic painting shows Belle feeding the ducks in the central pond.

Tango Passion
Another digital painting based on a photo of me and Belle performing Argentine Tango with the Camarada Chamber Orchestra in San Diego. This was the pose we used to complete the number.
